• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Swans Trust x Kieran Maguire | A look at the 2023/24 financials – and the wider world of football

In late March, Swansea City released their financial accounts for the year ending June 2024.

The accounts revealed an operating loss of approximately £15.1 million – a figure that has naturally prompted questions among supporters about the club’s financial position and wider sustainability.

To help bring clarity and independent insight, the Trust once again invited football finance expert – and friend of the Trust – Kieran Maguire to join us for a special podcast episode. This marks the third consecutive year that Kieran has taken the time to review the club’s accounts with us, and we’re incredibly grateful for his continued support and generosity.

In this episode, Kieran shares his trademark blend of expertise and wit to unpack not just Swansea City’s financial picture, but also broader trends in football finance.

From Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) to revenue and cost trends, and even the ongoing impact of Brexit on player trading, Kieran offers valuable context to help supporters better understand what’s going on behind the numbers.

Whether you’re a casual fan or a financial aficionado, we hope this conversation sheds light on the current state of the club and gives you the confidence to engage in these important discussions.

🤮🤮🤮🤮 Would love a podcast about a supposed fan based Trust that ignored legal advice. Unilaterally decided to override members wishes and do a dirty deal that ended up completely diluting Trust shareholding.
It would make a good drama for Channel 5 😉
