I know that's why I put it up...seems apt tonight

The board said this evening that it was a 70% chance they had been given

But had their bluff called by the owners

Or maybe the sellers thought it was a strong case, this giving £500k when they didn't need to.

Their bluff wouldn’t have needed much calling.

and these guys call themselves business men..a stationary salesman and not sure what the chairman's business is .. .. you couldn't make it up

I’ve never heard of a stationary salesman before. They normally give them a car and expect them to drive about a lot.

Surely they did that out of the goodness of their own heart

I am absolutely incredulous at what I heard tonight - the Americans have yet again refused to share information with the Trust board about certain key matters and yet we (Trust) have signed the legal agreement anyway

I work with Counsel regularly, any cases I’m involved in and our side’s Counsel provides a 70% chance, I’d be extremely surprised not to win from there

I'm sure they did. They had been supportive of the Trust for many years, and wanted to show their appreciation 😇

Remembering more now - it was claimed at the meeting tonight it was not known why the Americans pulled out of the deal agreed by the Trust in 2017

Well, as a reminder that was because the terms changed, I called out on that, the board wanted to carry on with a weaker deal and the fact it was made public the terms had changed made the Americans decide they didnt want to continue. That and the fact we were heading towards relegation ...

Maybe if they had kept ex board members involved they would have been fully up to speed.

Yes I know sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, but I can live with it.
