It was kicked into the long grass from the word go, they never intended it to go to court ever.

Not true. I know that for a fact.

Too much smoke and mirrors stuff going on, this Trust is basically a patsy for whoever is behind "the next level" ...

The coming months will be interesting

I’m very disappointed with the way things have played out, an amicable fair solution is always the best outcome (my that I am saying this is one) but I thought the Trust should have progressed the litigation.

I get there are ND and confidentiality issues, but I think the Trust should have insisted on transparency from the outset. Questions from members should be anonymised and posted on line along with a detailed response - Transparency is the order of the day.

I’ve no issue with a Trust Board member being rewarded and having a pair of tickets for the directors box once a season, but when they’ve had their “go” the tickets for the remaining games should either be raffled amongst the members or they should be auctioned to raise money for the Trust or good causes.

So why didn't you take it to court then?

Not to speak for ECB, but my understanding is that the Trust board were working to do that while he was there. I'm sure you'll understand that it's a complicated situation and it's not as easy as just 'taking it to court' at the drop of a hat. Since ECB left the Trust board, the current board have decided not to proceed with legal action.

I might as well ask you why you didn't take it to court? If someone's not on the Trust board, they can't do anything about it.

Does that mean we can't burn him anyway?

I'm not looking to blame anyone, frankly I don't care as its just another ugly part of our history now, I was merely stating an opinion one I've held since the start but we all know what opinions are like and the world keeps turning.
