I don’t mind twitter. It is like all social media - it’s what you want it to be. You can choose what you see, who you follow and who follows you. Anytime who doesn’t like it has the choice not to use it.

At the end of the day, no one reads the small print when you sign up to any social media platform. What we ourselves might see as something very trivial is in fact a breach of the companies policy, yet none of us have bothered to read it. As for free speech, well it is not eroded or being taken away from us, we can say what we like (we pretty much do on here). Twitter and Facebook are not bastions of free speech and never have been, just platforms where you have to obey rules outlined in the small print when signing up.

If Ebo’s theory is correct, and it probably is, if you’d used the term “capital punishment” instead of “death penalty” you’d probably have been ok. It’s clearly an automatic thing. I can’t imagine there’s someone in Twitter HQ actively monitoring your endless stream of Cheap Trick fanwanking. If there is they deserve more money.
