First Half-We deserved our lead. You didn't really impose yourselves on the game in a way that i thought you would have. Bullied would be a strong word to use, but i think that there was a bit more desire from us during the first period.
Second Half-Cooper decided to up the tempo from your point of view, got you moving the ball quicker, pushed an extra man in and got the fullbacks 10 yards further up the pitch. Why it took him so long to work that one out is beyond me, but fair play to him, he has a 'Plan' and deviating from it so late in the game probably cost you a point-Thanks Coops..
We decided to sit in and not break the lines, completely gave up on possession, sat back and sent out a call for you to get in behind and break us down. I'm not particularly proud of that kind of football, but i think that if we had decided to open up more and leave space for you to play in, we would have lost the game as keeping the ball isn't our strength. You struggled to break our two banks defending the goal, your only option came from wide areas, and i can only remember you getting in behind on two or three occasions. The truth is that you didn't know how to split us or pull us out of position in order to create a pocket of space. Cooper continued to try and play through our backline and it failed.
You are a good football side, but i have to say that you look slow in build up, nothing like the Swansea sides that could create space and opportunity through moving the ball incredibly quickly, there was a lethargic element to your game.
As for us, yeah, we're a bit shit, defend, hit on the break, get the ball forward as quickly as possible, cause a bit of havoc in the penalty area. We do have some decent players, but under Mick it's going to be the order of the day, We don't usually defend like that for an entire half though.
To summarise, whatever anyone thinks of our style of play (I don't like it) we deserved to win that game yesterday, you had no answer to it, your players lacked a bit of character at times and your manager didn't react early enough in my opinion.
Good luck in the playoffs.
