• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

There is no disdain, I just don't see the player you see at the value you place on him, and I don't think I'm alone in that by any means. He's an ok player who has improved this season and has done ok for us, and I hope he continues to do so for as long as he is here.
Any player who could beat a keeper with either foot outside the box is what I would call a little bit special. I really can’t get where youre coming from but it’s all about opinions.

Not if you tell him we would sell him in the summer. The more he gets in the second half of the season rhe more we’ll get for him.
Players (and thier agent) see it differently, they are only one bad injury away from losing everything, so will grab the opportunity of a move to the Premier League at the first opportunity.

If he hadn't had that perfectly legitimate goal against Brum ruled out, he'd currently be the joint second highest goal scorer in the division so far this season.

With no penalties. For a club not exactly pulling up trees and creating a shedload of chances.
100 % this. And the way Matos wants us to play id say he’s got a very good chance of 25 goals this season if played regularly and without picking up an injury.

He’s got 2.5 years left on his contract. It doesn’t matter what his agent does he’s not going anywhere unless the deal is extra special for us.

Absolutely, hopefully, if a Premier league side does come calling, his head won't be turned, as usually happens. An unhappy player is good for no one.

25 is optimistic. He'd need to be getting two or three clear cut chances per game on average to get near that and at the moment we just don't create that many openings. He's got 20 in him though, especially if the team around him keeps improving. Last season I estimated that he was capable of 10-15 if given decent support and he should easily surpass that.

Not many players notch 20 in a Championship season these days. We'd be crackers to consider anything less than £10m if he does.

He has added a lot to his game this season. He presses more but its his offering by coming deep and spreading the ball with first time passes to the flanks where he has really improved in my opinion.

Those balls didn't really come off against Wrexham but there have been plenty of games where they have. For most championship sides having a player who can notch 20 goals in a season where you have provided minimal service as well as being able to come deep and link play to the wide men is as close to a complete striker as you are likely to see.
