• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I can’t see it, but I hope you’re right. He’s got a long way to go to be a ‘player’ though in my opinion. It’s worth preserving with him though, so I like that Sheehan is giving him a chance to find some form.

Agree with others - it doesn’t help having Cullen being utterly ineffective behind him.
Gets out jumped...and looks slow in the box

Whilst more game time might make him sharper in the box getting out jumped isn't going to change.

Like Ronald who lacks that clinical final delivery, Vip is what he I'd and they are both here and not at a low PL or promotion chasing Championship club

There are a lot of attacking players who looked stifled and ineffective the way Williams was sending the team out to play.

It'll be interesting to see what happens if Yates comes back because for me he was probably the first victim of it.
Mykola I'll add to this as well. Though not sure if it runs deeper with him or it's training etc. Sheehan didn't really give him a chance even for his short spell. Personally I would sell Yates this summer with 1 year left on his contract. But hey I might be wrong.

And the lad from Hibs.

I'd like to see Yates up top alongside another player like Vip or the lad at Hibs.

Sure I'm read on here that Williams told them only to take players on if they knew they would beat them, how that f*ck does that make sense?

During Williams time in charge every striker we signed looked gash.

I think Yates would be a much better player with some up top alongside him.

His stature doesn't really lend itself to playing as a lone striker.

I wouldn't say out jumped all the time. He has improved his hold up and has jumped and passed well. A few times today he was out jumped yes, but I see improvements. I think he will get more clinical in front of goal and can already see his confident is building from that bycicle kick today.

Bang on the money! Eom is potentially the next big money asset off the rank if nurtured correctly going forward Smurph 👍
100%

Can't speak a word of English, playing in one of the most physical leagues in the world yet can still get in the South Korea squad.

There is a player in there.

Yates looked ineffective under Duff well before Williams arrived and he isn't setting the world alight at Derby either

My bet would be Franco. If Franco can stop giving away silly passes and get through the 90 without being wiped out then he is someone who will go for good money. Not that I am slagging him off. I really like Franco. He clearly puts alot of energy into the game hence his drop off, of around 75 minutes. Not that in any way am I saying I agree with Williams, but it's clear first season in championship for Franco it's alot for him. I see only good things next season +.

This might be a good debate. Both Yates and Bianchini are similar in the sense of running down the ball. But Yates has had more success up front with us. Not that I am advocating we keep him as I feel we might need to move him on, but is Bianchini playing in position that doesn't work for him? or another player that needs time to adapt to the league?

Franco has been doing the work of two until the arrival of O'Brien.

The lad is going to be a good player for us with someone alongside him with the same work ethic.

Yes Franco is another asset for sure, him and Eom will make us a tidy profit, or help propell us towards the play offs next season if this lad from Notts County gets his act together next window

He was in the divisions top ten goalscorers under Duff and is currently Derby's top scorer this season with nearly twice as many as anyone else.
You sold it on me! No joke. 👍👍 where is our cheque book. How do we get him in a Swans shirt? Oh wait... 😂😂😂
