• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Having players around him made such a difference, his 1-2 with Franco in the 2nd half showed everything that we want from him. Hold up play, control and playing in a player running beyond him.

Denied two goals by what to be honest was fantastic last ditch defending from Blackburn and should have had an assist if Cullen had worn his shooting boots in the first half

Compared to the walking football he was forced to endure under Williams with not a single other player within 30 yards of him it was night and day from his usual service
I said the same applied to Piroe until RM put Cullen with him and they became the most prolific pair of strikers in the league that season. Vip is a stronger target man than Piroe amd just add goals.

Apparently Zan has a great relationship with our Head Coach, which is good to hear as I didn't think we had one. Then again, this whole article reads like it's from a parallel universe, so who knows, sounds like Zan's having a great season over there.
I read that about the head coach and laughed.

Seems anyone can call themselves a journalist these days.

I think this is just a site that's asked ChatGPT to generate some transfer speculation stories and this is one it spat out.

Swansea City Striker Vipontik at Centre of Summer Transfer Speculation

Swansea City’s rising star, Vipontik, has found himself at the heart of swirling summer transfer rumours following an impressive run of form in the Championship. The 22-year-old striker, who joined the Swans just last season, has quickly become a fan favourite thanks to his pace, strength, and eye for goal — notching 14 goals and 6 assists so far this campaign.

Clubs from both the Premier League and Europe are reportedly monitoring his situation closely, with scouts from Brentford, Lille, and Borussia Mönchengladbach all spotted at recent fixtures. Swansea are believed to be keen to hold onto their prized asset, especially as they look to build a promotion-challenging side for next season.

With two years left on his current deal, the Swans are in a strong negotiating position, but a big-money offer could test their resolve. As the summer window approaches, expect the buzz around Vipontik’s future to intensify.

For now, the striker remains focused on finishing the season strong — but all eyes will be on what happens next.

His electric pace has certainly been key to his 14 goals this season, wibble wibble, my old man's a chestnut🤪

The sort of "exclusive" you get when there's an international break on...
Reckon I've got a future in journalism?

Inside Scoop: Swansea City Close In on New Managerial Appointment

Swansea City are in the final stages of securing their next manager, with sources inside the club revealing that negotiations are well advanced and progressing smoothly. The chosen candidate is said to align closely with the club’s long-term footballing philosophy — one rooted in possession-based play, player development, and a strong connection with the club’s academy.

Behind the scenes, there’s growing confidence that this appointment will mark a turning point. Club officials have been meticulous in their search, prioritising a manager with modern tactical ideas, proven leadership, and the ability to connect with both players and fans. One source described the candidate as “the kind of leader who builds, not just manages.”

While the club is remaining tight-lipped publicly, preparations are already underway for a swift transition, with an announcement expected imminently. Insiders suggest that the appointment will surprise some but excite many — a clear signal that Swansea are serious about rebuilding with purpose.

Momentum is building in SA1, and it looks like the next chapter is about to begin.

Not sure I’d be looking to offload him.
Get him properly fit in pre season - not sure why he wasn’t last season, get him a run of good 15-20 games as a starting striker & see what he can do.
There’s definitely a striker there

His manager didn't condition his players for anything other than than Walking Football . I think it’s a good shout to judge all the players after a Sheehan pre season
