I was pleasantly surprised and he took the chance that fell at his feet very well, while showing some real skill at winning headers and flicking the ball on. Got to add the caveat that he was playing against a tired League 2 defence of course. Hopefully people don't start thinking he's going to be our saviour based on tonight.
As usual Vipotnik didn't get a single touch in the opposition penalty area. He was inches from tapping in Ronald's cross in the first half, but had to drop back into our half of the pitch to get a touch. The ball to release Ronald from their corner in the second half was a thing of beauty.
I'm not sure he's good enough at this level, but would like to see him get a run of games to give him a fair chance.
