Eternal optimist I seeI like the guy i really do but even at this early stage with the players at his disposal not seeming to be able to string two passes together and woeful deffensive capabilities I can only see this being a sticking plaster appointment and the wound is huge. I am almost certain this is the year we go back down and that would only be the start.
I really hope not. It would be specially gutting to pass Cardiff on the way down.I like the guy i really do but even at this early stage with the players at his disposal not seeming to be able to string two passes together and woeful deffensive capabilities I can only see this being a sticking plaster appointment and the wound is huge. I think that may well be the case, the confidence is shot and Sheehan and Co didn't seem to offer anything in that department. I think I read on here somewhere that O'dea was calling the players C*nts, which I suppose isn't really a confidence builder. It's refreshing as many have said he says it as it is. In my opinion it feels he is hinting at how poor Sheehan and his set up really have damaged the confidence.
I didn't know that about O Dea... I think everyone can see there confidence is gone. I think Vitor will give them more confident and with him keep talking about counter press he isn't gonna except Key and few others allowing crosses in as this is something he said also. I remember a while back in a random comment Sheehan saying he doesn't worry to much about the opposition crossing its the defending. I think that is telling us alot.I think that may well be the case, the confidence is shot and Sheehan and Co didn't seem to offer anything in that department. Sounds like he has two main things to do, build the players confidence and find a formation that get the best out of them.
