• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

So all whites in football bad, all blacks in rugby good. Is that the game?

Aren't they known as the brown caps in Cricket?

Black caps - cricket
Tall Blacks- Basketball

The issue with all whites in NZ is that we Europeans invaded and took land from the indigenous NZ people, the Maori and Pacific Island people are generally dealt a pretty poor hand in NZ with people of European ancestry dominating in all walks of life. Football in NZ is predominantly played by white people of European heritage therefore in order to make it more inclusive a change of name might help that you don’t have to be “All white”to play football.

NZ is also a pretty new country as we know it now with the British taking over in 1840 prior to that it was only Maori and Pacific Island people who lived there with the odd European early settlers inc the Dutch who first discovered it. Not Capt Cook who was the first to claim it for the Empire.

So not as straightforward an issue as some are portraying here.

Tangerine (orange) came into our kit from the 1959/60 season - with all orange socks. It stayed in our kit in different formats until the end of the 1969/70 season. (1967/68 we were all white)
