What's happening with Swansea City's Richard Kone pursuit as key snag emerges

I never conducted a football transfer - but have conducted many business deals in other realms. The essence of getting an agreement is to balance the leverage.
If the seller has leverage the price will go up, if the buyer has leverage, the price goes down SIMPLES.
Where this is relevant to Kone is that there were several things driving up the Wycombe leverage
1. Quality of the product (player)
2. Competition for the player
3. Urgency with the opening day only days away.
Conclusion - right now is the optimum time for Wycombe leverage for price point
What will potentially happen over the next few weeks is the following
1. Player remains same quality
2. Potential purchasers drop away as they finalize their squads for opening day
3. The looming transfer window deadline makes it more likely that the player will not be sold, and then Wycombe have a rapidly depreciating asset on their hands as he enters the final year of contract.
Much as it is frustrating, and might cost us in the opening few fixtures...every passing day (in my opinion) reduces Wycombe's leverage.
We should not get into a bidding war - we should wait it out until the leverage between sellers and buyer has equilibrium - or tips in our favour.
