• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Will letting the fans back in have a negative influence?

Imagine it now.

Players passing it sideways for the thrid time in the first 10 minutes, a few over hit crosses by our attacking players...the impatient East Stand Massive start to groan, confidence is seen to be draining from the players. Songs about how much we hate Cardiff City etc and nothing about how much we love Swansea City.

The team have got to the play offs without us, should we stay away and let them finish the job?

I dont believe we would have reached the play offs this season had we had crowds inside the stadium

The negativity would have won the day because of the standard of the football (IMO)

This ^ unfortunately.

Maybe the fans voicing their disapproval would have made enough of them buck their ideas up to have prevented the slow spiral into tedium that we have had to witness from afar?

Many of this side will be off regardless of how play offs go.
For me it's been hard to connect with the side knowing this.

You don't believe that really... :o ;)

I don't really disagree, but I think for the playoff games fans will be less bothered about the style and more about the winning. Plus having not been to matches in over a year less chance of it being negative IMO.

Won’t matter now though. The crowd will live with it if it works.

But if we are two down and still negative, then like with the idiot Bradley against ManU, the contemptuous and vicious crowd reaction would be apparent. The reaction that day improved the team approach and attitude out of all recognition. So it could well have a positive effect and might even have forced The Fraud to play football rather than anti football a lot earlier.
