• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Unless there’s a clause somewhere stating he cant touch our players then I’d be amazed if he doesn’t go there.

Employed himself a new agent towards end of the season. He’ll be off somewhere.

After the way they’ve gone about approaching Martin, I’d tell them to go fuck themselves with a rusty fucking spoon the fucking f***ers.

That'll be a "No" then? :?:

Hopefully.

I was watching Man City the other week and De Bruyne was constantly playing a ball between the lines for Haaland. Most didn’t pay off. The one that did was a goal. Grimes would have played none of them but would have opted for the sideways ball that would maintain his stats. He’s all about his pass completion rate.

I’m surprised to see that from you, thought you understood us. Try comparing him to someone who plays the same position and at the same level. He’s the least of our worries.

Edit - to the OP, I wouldn’t be surprised if Martin will want to keep him here when his move to S’ton breaks down

He's RM's main man. His pivot of all things Martinball.

He has other, better suitors right now.

Grimesy is beyond too chilled though. He'll take the very best option for him. When/if someone Pulls, sufficiently.

For him it's not the 'Pull' though. It's about 'Push'. He'd rather stay here.

If we dont land our favoured manager, the 'Push' factor for Grimes will be engaged. He's waiting, biding his time.

With respect, you need to be less myopic on this. See the bigger picture.......

He's all about doing the right thing. A giver, a thankless captain and leader.

If Potter asks him to play LB, he'll do it; if Cooper asks him to be captain and main pivot, he'll do it. With aplomb.

If Russy asks him to 'do Russy-ball' (main man in retaining possession, at all cost, being the very bravest player on the pitch) he'll do it, with aplomb.

So, emphatically No. He's not all about his pass completion rate. He's about giving his all, 100%.

Such the shame some can't see this.

Would be a huge gap to fill if he was to go.

I’m not attempting to compare him in terms of quality - I’m comparing the ambition. He takes the easy pass almost all the time.

I do understand us - it’s just that ‘us’ at the moment is a long way from ‘us’ at our best. Don’t fall for the endless social media propaganda about the ‘Swansea Way’. We have been as far away from that at times last season as it’s possible to get. We started to get nearer to it later on when Martin abandoned his preferred formation after we went however many games it was with sod all wins.

We will agree to disagree

He’s alright, no more no less. Shows how far we’ve fallen that some put him on a pedestal.
