• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

She had a run where she was relaxed, smiling and everything she hit turned to gold. Then after winning the major it got too serious too soon. Add in the injuries and it’s hard to see her rising again. She should just have fun again.

Great game from Mimi
She’s had injuries, problems with a stalker, problems with her Dad. Plus she’s done too much promotional stuff.

She needs to just focus in her game. This stuff with Alcaraz is a distraction as well.

Dimi was quite right about Radacanu wasn’t he. I remember him having quite the ding dong (normal for him) about in his opinion she won’t get anywhere near her tournament win again, and will just fall away. Not a fan of tennis myself, and she is still young (I think) so maybe has time on her side.

I remember that. It reminded me of all the Andy Murray haters who said for years he'd never win a Grand Slam. Then when he did, it became he'd never win a second one. Then he'd never win a third one...

The odds were massively against Raducanu winning that US Open, it was a fairy tale up there with Leicester winning the PL. Yet some prefer to carp and bitch about how she wouldn't win another one, as if winning one wasn't an incredible achievement that thousands of tennis players would give anything to achieve. Possibly a combo of misogyny and jealousy was involved in his bizarre ranting.

Yeah, this. She’ll always have done what a tiny minority of those in the sport have done, and she was a delight to watch. I’d love to see her get back up there.

Fair play to her, making a fist of this 💪🏻
I don’t think she has the guns to win, but it’s lovely to watch some of her shot making. The commentary is starting to get on my wick. The script is obviously pro Emma…or is that just my Swans chippiness kicking in…?

No, it’s ridiculous. No balance at all.

Very one sided commentary.

I like Raducanu but it’s embarrassing how worked up she’s getting because she’s beating a young kid years behind her.

It’s obviously because she’s the British number 1 but the young kid is doing so well given she’s 5 years younger than Raducanu. The commentators are disappointed when she wins a point.
I’m not a tennis fan but commentary is commentary, and this is umming as they say.

I'm suprised Raducanu hasn't called the physio on court because of a chipped fingernail

Great effort by Mimi, what an experience and took 6 games of ER. Well done👏👏

If Mimi can sought out her double fault serving and be consistent on the rallies she will go very far.

Too many freebie points given to Raducanu .

Great experience for her though
