World Cup 2026 Qualifier | The Official Match Thread | Belgium 4 Wales 3 | Attendance: 33,653 (4,500 Cymru) | Monday 9th June 2025

In a group where goal difference will be a huge factor, we can’t give up on this.

This is a total shit show... standing off them no desire to press.

Walking it out not outlets... pains me to say we need to go long with Moore if we keep playing like this
Absolutely. Bellamy got this one totally wrong. Setup, mindset and tactics.

That said, they are on another planet to us. We are Liechtenstein to them only less competent defensively. Hardly surprising. Like an fa cup tie, they need to be at their worst, we need to be full strength and playing out of our skins. Giving them a ridiculous penalty start just kills it stone dead.

Is it? Belgium will win the group easily, so to come second we need to match NM against the minnows* and beat them at home. I doubt GD will be a factor in that. Or am I missing someting**

*The other minnows I mean, as we are a minnow, just not as minnowish.

**a five goal second half salvo from the Heiffer hopefully.

In games like this, poor players like Sorba look exactly what they are. Flat track mules.

5 players just standing in a line. This is really poor. Bellamy is learning hopefully. Second half has to be about trying to regain some confidence and morale.

Feels like we’ve approached this game giving them no respect and expecting it to be more or less even. They’re aging and they’ve lost a bit of quality but there is still an ocean of difference between us and them.
