Are we dependent on Poland not beating Netherlands tonight for any hope of pot 1?
It’s not the only hope, but it’s probably the most likely,

Iceland not losing to Ukraine and finishing second on Sunday would also do it. There probably are other permutations still but they’re the most straight forward IF we win both games.

Poland finished 1-1. I think that means we’d be in pot 1 if we were to win our last two games but fuck knows how the ranking points work.

Sadly it appears that Poland will be above us even with 2 wins (by around 1-2 ranking points). Maybe the choice of the England friendly will bite us after all.

All Iceland fans now! It’s like 2016 all over again 😅

But you always know Mr Fish. Disappointed. You need to up your game.
I know, sorry for letting everyone down!

I think Frankie is right though, Poland will get 5 ranking points for their draw tonight and another 2 if they beat Malta putting them on around 1530. We’ll get 1.5 for beating Liechtenstein and about 9 for beating Macedonia, leaving us on 1528ish.

Best bet for pot 1 now looks like Ukraine not beating Iceland on Sunday. Pot 2 still gives us a home semi final though.
