• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Would you support bringing back the death penalty for certain crimes ?

Why not ?
Let's learn from past mistakes.

Why haven’t the countries that still have the death penalty been able to manage it? Or do you think they are consciously and deliberately executing innocent people?

Lets stick to the U.K.. if a person kills or tortures a child. Backed up by witnesses. Recorded on film. Confessed to.

Hang them or lethal injection or other. I dont mind.

Small steps. I did ask whether death penalty for certain crimes.

I have given my opinion. You have given your differing opinion. That's absolutely fine.

I can see arguments for both sides but when it is 100% clear of the guilty party. No right to live in my view.

Timothy Evans confessed to murdering his wife and baby. We hanged him. It turned out he was innocent.

I didn't realise it was recorded on film , like I said was a stipulation.

Hahahahahahaha!

Dolt, no system is perfect. Nothing will change.

That's a caveat.

This woman filmed herself killing / torturing her stepson. She took joy in it.

She deserves to die in my view and to have no chance of any joy in her life.

Just my opinion.
Death would be painless and quick - something poor little Arthur was denied.

Emotionally and cost-wise, the death penalty seems appropriate in cases like this, but I like to think daily life in prison will be a living hell, so on balance I'd rather them suffer big time - every single day of their worthless lives.

Alternatively, put more money into the justice system (and less making politicians' mates rich, pointless infrastructure projects and hugely expensive military boondoggles) so that life means life and you can make criminals work to pay back some of their debt to society.

That's living in a fantasy word I realise.

FWIW I share this view

I would have said no, but then I saw Hamer murdering us today.

Quick question (and I honestly don't know the answer) what is the youngest have children have been executed for murder anywhere?

What's the youngest that children have been convicted of murder in the UK. Is it 12?

Thompson and Venables were aged 10 when guilty of murdering Jamie Bulger.

Horrific case.

I an not suggesting death penalty for kids by the way.

The law has changed since then (I think, could be wrong). These days children under 18 can’t face trial as if they’re adults like those two were. Although the age of criminal responsibility is still 10.

No, not a chance.

Silly emotional reasoning by those that want it.
