• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Same could be said about us.
I’d say mid to lower championship is our level when you factor in the size of Swansea itself and a proper catchment area going as far west as Pembrokeshire and as east as Aberdare etc. Let’s not forget we got to the top flight in the eighties and almost bloody won the thing, have won the league cup and had 7 seasons in the PL

Haven’t they averaged out at L1 level over their history? Could swear I heard or read that from their fans or maybe even on the documentary. Wrexham is tiny and I question the potential in north Wales, again that’s hardly a populous region and has always been a Liverpool and Man U heartland? League one seems more like their true level
It is small and obviously in the shadow of some massive clubs but so are QPR, Brentford, Wigan amongst many others that have had decent spells in the top two divisions. I’m not saying they’re a big club by any stretch but they are not the footballing minnows that they’re being made out to be on here, and their facilities are far from shite. Back in the 90’s they were the most successful of the three Welsh league clubs and were comparable to us and Cardiff in terms of crowds and better in terms of league positions. They’ve been in the second division before so it’s not as if they’ve never been at this level before Hollywood. They should definitely be L1 comfortably, and in with a chance at the Championship.

They are all in for a massive culture shock. Championship is a fckn nitemare as we've witnessed for years. They won't be rolling over teams week in week out.
I think it's mid table at best for them.
Spot on. They may start off well, or may not. But they are not Leeds etc. I wouldn't be suprised if news outlets go crazy for them winning on first day etc. But it's gonna be shock to their system. We all know it, the top can beat the bottom and vis versa. I can see us vs them being even more spicy with Darling and Lewis OB being linked. It's almost like the want to be us 😂😂😘

They’ll find it tough, it’s not as if they strolled out of the division below, but that’s what it’s all about - get better, play better sides. Good for them and I hope we help regulate them next season.

Let's do the double 😂. Cardiff down, next up Wrexham 😁.

As you mentioned it, might I remind my Right Honourable friends that Cardiff were regulated.

Just in case anyone’s having a poor day.
Three dates for the diary.
  • June's fixture list, when they get to find out when they're playing the might of Doncaster, Bradford and Port Vale
  • The draw for the first round of the Papa's Paints Trophy or whatever the feck they call it these days. Hopefully they lose to Manchester United U-12s somewhere along the line
  • FA Cup 1st round draw in October where hopefully they're away to Stalybridge Celtic or Farnborough
The beauty of it will really hit home then 👌🏻

I know none of you are interested in watching 👀 but the new season has started on Disney today. Bloody upstarts, who do they think they are etc.

Does it annoy you Wrexham have no Welsh players and actively have that approach and will for many years to come?

Jordan Davies has just left having been a regular in the team for a while previously and they have a couple of Welsh youngsters in the first team squad?

Their youth facilities are pretty poor, would imagine they'll have more Welsh youngsters coming through once it's improved.

Anyway, we had Neil Taylor from them many moons ago, so they're alright with me as regards Welsh players.
