• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

That's normal (no pun intended). Budweiser is brewed for the UK market in Magor, Monmouthshire.
Have you ever been in there? Done loads of work there, mad place. Would break the hearts of lager drinkers the amount of stuff they dump. Stinks as well.

Indeed. Prof was mentioning that it (Wrexham Lager) was doing well on export to US. Obviously nothing is being exported aside from the name.

I didn’t even know it existed in Magor. I’ll have a nose next time I go to Roggitt for the parkrun.

They own Wrexham Lager outright as I understand it.
Co-owners with the Roberts family I think. Either way it resurrected the brand. Sometimes pick a bottle up in Lidl. One of the oldest British lagers which are distinct from the awful pilsner copies. Like fake Spanish Madri

I think the Roberts family are there but as minority shareholders now.

As you say, great for the brand.

Amazed that everyone in the local press seem to have missed the fact that ASC, the new investors have as their Chief Strategy Director none other than previous member of the Swans Board, Sam Porter.

Serious money behind the fund. Also interesting to note that the money flows into the club (as did the Allyn money). Unlike certain other recent ‘investments’.

Another one who was (maybe still is?) with us is also getting involved at another club:

A question for those who know about these things. When will we know for certain that our away fixture there in March will NOT be switched from the Saturday?
It's a bit of a bugger to book non returnable flights, hotel, etc, only to find it's moved to Sunday or whatever.

I really enjoyed the documentary. Have no issues with them doing well at all. The owners have done everything they said they would for them and have brought life and enjoyment to a small town on its arse.
As long we beat them every time we play them, then I am happy.

From the EFL website…
  • Selections for matches scheduled after the first weekend in March will be announced on a four-week rolling basis starting from February 1 (e.g. a selection for the first weekend in April will be selected in the first weekend in March).
  • Selections for matches scheduled for the penultimate weekend of the regular season will be announced three weeks in advance.
  • Selections for matches scheduled for the final weekend of the regular season will be announced the week prior.

They’ll be like rocking horse shite I reckon, due to I believe a small away section.

Sounds like we'll know mid Feb then.

The allocation will be 1,293. This will be the most highly demanded away fixture of the season. So you will have to be a member of the Jack Army to stand any chance of a ticket and even then it will be a mad dash.

Wrexham set to sign experienced defender Zak Vyner from Bristol City .

Wrexham have signed 2 strikers
Bailey Cadamartari & Keillor - Dunn .
They have lots of options.
