Wrexham vs Boreham Wood

Just so pleased they are back in the EFL....Mullin is just class...his 2 goals were superb...Will look forward to the next documentary series...the Ben Foster save against Notts County....awesome...Wrexham are THE no 1 supported team in North America now I promise you..

I saw an episode of “Dorking uncovered” on the “Bunch of amachers” YouTube channel going back about a year or so ago and the story of them rising up from local park football to bordering on promotion to the national league really intrigued me.

I also really like the manager Mark White who’s a bit of a character who is also the owner, chairman, tea lady and everything in between. They’re 1 of only 2 or 3 clubs in the NL who aren’t professional and the majority of their players have come up through the leagues with them as well. They’ve done absolutely fantastic to even stay in the league considering they have no budget for transfers etc. I can see them doing well over the next couple seasons.

Thanks, I shall take a look.

Much more popular in the US than perhaps Welsh folk imagine. I have US based colleagues who talk to me about them; of course it goes without saying that I remind everyone that they are only the second biggest team in Wales.

A lot being made of Wrexham getting promoted but Newport getting back to the league after actual extinction and exile is a far bigger story / fairytale

Tell them if they enjoyed Welcome to Wrexham then they should love Jack to a King... ;)

Of course it was, but they weren't owned at the time by American celebrities and didn't have a global hit documentary series about them. Not surprising more is being made of Wrexham because of those factors.

I enjoyed the first series and am looking forward to the next one, which will have a happier ending.

Not that bothered, but well done them.
Make a good film I suppose.👍

TikTok wasn’t around in those days. The platform has played a significant role in the Wrexham story.

However, you’re right about the achievement of Newport. Much bigger in terms of stature.

I did actually once mutter the words “we had a DVD made”, closely followed with a sigh.

Indeed, but I'm a football fan, not a celebrity fan

P'raps they'll now get a decent club badge.....three feathers and "Ich dien" FFS! Still, well done Wrecsam.

I’ve been to Wrexham away to watch us 6 times.
Every time their fans were c^nts.
