They may love it enough to buy the club...

Chief said:A lot being made of Wrexham getting promoted but Newport getting back to the league after actual extinction and exile is a far bigger story / fairytale
Longlostjack said:That was a brilliant story. Wrexham have the heritage but as far as fairy tales go the Exiles were as worthy of a Netflix series.
Darran said:I’ve been to Wrexham away to watch us 6 times.
Every time their fans were c^nts.
They can go f*ck emselves.
I hope they go straight back down.

Arthurmorgan said:Good luck to um, let’s face it the national league is extremely unfashionable to a vast majority, if you go on the sky football app your fingers will tire looking for the table!
They’ve languished in that division for way too long, and similar to our rises have hit a jackpot no fans would turn down.
We all bemoan Man City etc for their ownership, I think the two that have steered Wrexham and put them on a Hollywood stardom route, should be praised highly, the passion they’ve shown and how they’ve run the club has been outstanding, will it last? Only time can tell.
But, the here and now, they have been pushed and publicised by a dream team of marketing.
I’m not a fan of them, nor do I consider myself an enemy, in fact I hope we share a pitch again one day, be great to see, used to enjoy those matches in the basement personally.
Let um have a moment in time I say, there’s still plenty of hard work ahead.

Pegojack said:Good post. It's quite a contrast, isn't it, between the all out emotional engagement of Wrexham's American owners and ours, the clueless backstabbing moneymen who wouldn't know 'soccer' if it bit them on the arse, and who 99% of Swans fans can't wait to see the back of.
Mindy Kaling is worth $40 million - maybe she should get her PR team rolling.Arthurmorgan said:Reynolds is Canadian so maybe it’s him grounding it all
You’re absolutely right though, our conglomerates are merely there seemingly pulling all the money in and not really involved.
I know they’re not celebrities and probably have the personalities of finger nails, but, take a lead from Wrexham I think?
In the way they’ve connected with fans, obviously they’re not going to have that appeal as they’re not global stars, but our owners should be definitely be attempting to talk to us more, be more transparent, and be honest, and I think what you say about “soccer” is the spot on element, they’re pure business, which also has to have its place, we don’t want a badly driven circus, but we know very little to nothing about them, and the connection of club and fans doesn’t seem there at times, the only times you feel a big drive to unite is the promotional material when we play our wonderful friends up the road.
