I was getting him confused with Farke! That's the one I was thinking of 93

Uxy said:This is his Rodgers Sunderland moment I think. Bit of a silly comment, to be fair.
I know Grimes is getting pelters on another thread, but I think we have to entertain the likelihood he's playing to orders and a change in personnel won't amount to anything, well not positive anyway.

To be fair, I’m incredulous at his way of playing football at the moment.

What’s he been trying to do?

He's trying to introduce a style of play which is fairly unique in the Championship, possession football combined with pace and incisive attacking. I saw it working perfectly back in February away at WBA when we destroyed them 2-0, but to be fair they were a fairly poor side that night, and it's a lot easier when you are the away team. The home side feel obliged to attack you and they inevitably leave space at the back to exploit. Yesterday, Blackburn did nothing of the sort. And we were the fairly poor side!

So am I and it's really stretching my patience and loyalty. Yesterday driving home, I had plenty of time to think about exactly what did I get out of the matchday experience. The journey has been getting worse over the last few years despite no longer having to stop at tollbooths but yesterday's journey was dreadful. Nearly 3 hours for a 105 mile journey of which 95 miles is on the M5/M49/M4 motorways, so an average speed of 35mph. Fuel cost, about £38. Yes, I know the time of year and the weather contribute to this but the winter journeys can sometimes be nearly as bad due to different reasons. And then I had to sit through watching THAT? The only positive thing I got out of the trip was the opportunity to spend a few hours with my brother and my nephew.
The next match I have planned is Luton at home on 20th and there are 3 games before that so my attendance now depends on seeing something worth going for in those 3 games. I'm not holding my breath.![]()
