• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Are there any other close up angles of the penalty/sending off incident. I have been looking at the replay and that Cook set him up a beauty. Was it a penalty? Should Cook have been cautioned?

I thought it was a dive by Yalcouye and then a petulant reaction that gave the ref an easy decision to make.

Not his finest few minutes.

The highlights show the sending off incident but don't have a replay of the penalty claim just prior.

And Cook was booked for it

Spot on brother. Unprofessional all round (and yes, Cook is a cheating disgusting scumbag and yes he may not have made much or any contact, but everyone knows the risk you take with that pointless nonsense.)

Quite. The irony of making such a fuss of Yalcouye’s dive and then diving like Jacques Cousteau.

Funny thing I said on Twitter earlier that it reminded me of that time Warwick Davis filled Mike Tyson in.

I have no doubt that Yalcoure's leg was slightly clipped as he was going through. If he'd stumbled and fallen naturally, he might have got a penalty, or he might have kept going and got his shot away. Unfortunatley, he decided to 'help' the ref by diving in an exaggerated manner to emphasize the foul.
When I was training to be a ref at county level, we used to get FA demonstration videos in our evening meetings. I remember one about how to tell if fouls were genuine or not, and one obvious 'tell' in the video was the exaggerated dive.
That's what Yalcoure did.

I agree Yalcouye was a silly boy but it doesn't take a lot for refs to produce red cards for us. Darling last season should never have been sent off v Sheffield United but Wilder had a tantrum in front of the ref and he caved in. Go back to Luton away a few years back and Lansbury literally kicks Manning up in the air when the ball was dead, ref saw it but did nothing about it.

We get a bum deal with refs most of the time. It's infuriating.

I think we do.
The linesman certainly helped the ref and he made a very quick decision. I looked at the replay and it looked like Cook was putting his head down in a way that looked like he was going to push his head in to Yalcouhe. Yalcouhe took step forward and the rest is history. For me it was a penalty but then again the ref ignored the one a couple of minutes earlier. It stinks,

The standard of the officials in all divisions just isn't good enough and it is slowly ruining the game even more than it has done for decades.

The difference now with all the tech available they don't really have any valid excuses.

I think this is true, more than there being some "anti Swansea" conspiracy with every referee. I'm sure fans of every club feel like they get unfair treatment from referees.

The officials in the Premier League are bad enough and they're supposed to be the best ones so the EFL is left with the dregs

Yes, couldn't have put it better myself 👏🏼

When Andy Badly is considered a top FIFA ref, you sort of know how low the bar of expectation has been set.

Sure some refs won't give us a penalty since the Sheffield Wednesday complaint was put in.
I sit level with the penalty spot in the East towards the away end
One was a definite penalty (1st incident) and knew there was an automatic red card before the ref spoke with the criminal (stealing a wage) running the line on the East.
The same criminal who failed to spot at least 3 definite by a country mile offsides
