(not including the Swans or the turds losing the play off final).

Had an enforced late night last night as Sky were showing mine, Man City 3-2 QPR, from the last game of 2011/12 season. This game had everything:
Joey Barton
Mark Hughes returning to the place where he was not deemed good enough
Late goal drama sealing the title
QPR fighting their own relegation battle

Turned the telly on an hour ago and Sky are showing it again  Brilliant viewing.

At the same time as the drama of Manchester we were handing out a beating to the Scouse.

For pure Drama you couldn't beat Leicester Watford playoff semi final injury time . When Knockhart dives in the box. Misses the pen or should I say double saved by Almunia and they break up the other end and Deeney scores.

2012 Reading 5 - Arsenal 7. Fourth round league cup.Crazy. Reading 4 up after 20 odd minutes, some Arse fans had already given up, bet they wish they'd stayed till the end.

Arsenal v Manure FA Cup Final ( 3 - 2) . Think Alan Sunderland scored two late goals ?
Also Arsenal 2 - 1 Liverpool 1971 Cup Final . First one I saw in colour.
Charlie George. Say no more.
Another match I enjoyed was Everon v Newcastle last Thursday
Proper end to end football

Liverpool 4-3 Newcastle utd 95-96 season best game ever!

Liverpool v Arsenal again, when Arsenal pipped them for the title at Anfield.
Real Roy of the Rovers stuff !

Liverpool's comeback to beat AC Milan in the champions league final.

I was going to say that one.

It's funny to watch the highlights of that game now, how different the football was. Considering they were the best two teams in the league, a lot of the football was poor quality. Also a reminder that it used to be legal for goalkeepers to handle passes and the amount of timewasting that generated.

For most memorable games not involving the Swans, mine would be the 2 FA Cup Semi Finals in 1990. Crystal Palace beating the mighty Liverpool 4-3 (in a season where Liverpool had inflicted their heaviest ever defeat, 9-0 at Anfield) and then Second Division (look it up kids) Oldham drawing 3-3 with Man Utd.

I was only 9 at the time and still remember all the goals clearly. The final wasn't too shabby that year either, but the less said about the replay the better.

Thomas. It's up for grabs now...

My favourite is Leeds Chelsea FA Cup Final 1970 (first game). This match really got me into playing football rather than egg and watching the Swans. I just didn't realise before watching it that it was just as legal to commit GBH on a football field as on a rugby field.

Liverpool v West Ham FA cup final

Chelsea v Barcelona CL with Drogba going nuts at the end

Arsenal v Liverpool 4-4

England v Portugal 06 WC

Oh yes, how can we forget all the England crashes back to reality, right back to W Germany 1970 and Poland 1974.

Iceland was a good one too.

Welsh Cup 1966

Cardiff 3 v 5 Swansea

Cardiff 3-0 up, Murray sent off midway in the 2nd half, and we score 3 to take it to extra time.

2 extra time goals from Jimmy McLaughlin and Brian Evans, and we end up winning 3-5. 😂😂

Some great matches mentioned already.

The ones that spring to mind immediately for me:-

Man Utd v WBA - Regis, Cunningham , McIlroy, Greenhoff etc. A feast for the eyes, and ears from Gerald sinsdat.

Italy v brazil 1982- Everyone bangs on about Falco, Eder, Socrates, Zico and Junior but for me Italy had the better players. Antognoni was the best midfielder on the pitch and Scirea (better than Baresi) was the best player in the tournament.

Germany v Italy 2006 semi final . For 118 minutes the best 0-0 technical and tactical game its possible to see, then 2 wonderous goals as the Italians pulled out every stop to avoid a penalty shoot out.

France v Portugal 1984 Euro semi. That looked like some atmosphere in Marseille

Arsenal V Man utd 1999 FA Cup - The game that had absolutely everything.

Barcelona v Fortuna Dusseldorf 1979 ECWC Final - I was a young boy sitting at home watching ITV one warm evening, when out of the blue this match came on live. Live matches on TV were like rocking horse shit back then. Up till then i didnt even now the match was taking place. What a belter- look it up.

The FA Cup semi finals of 1990 were very special. If I remember that was the first year both semis were played on a Sunday and televised one after the other.
For the record match 1 finished Liverpool 3-4 Crystal Palace and match 2 finished Man Utd 3-3 Oldham.

Coventry City v Swansea City
