Are we confident that figure will be the same for this season? We got a lot of high wages players off our books this season. Apart from Burges the players we brought in were on quite low wages I thought. I could be wrong but my guess is the wage bill dropped a bit.

I guess we won’t know until the next report.

Idah on big money. The big fees by our standards on players and big pay rises for Vig, Tymon, Vipotnik.

Maybe it will just be Galbraith but I hope we do not have to undo any positives from this year to fix financial mismanagement.

Imagine how many he would have scored with a semi competent winger. Tymon's delivery is top class, Eom hit and miss- Ronald absolutely diabolical.
Vip has shown the ability to score goals on scraps - If we cashin on Vip we absolutely need attackers who are capable of creating chances for Idah and his replacement.
The quality of ball for each of Idah’s goals must have given Vipotnik some real optimism for next season.

Controversial from me but I think if we could get 15-20 million for Galbraith I’d rather him leave than Vip. He’s a great player but I’d like to see another skilful but bigger unit at CDM. Of course I’d like him to stay but if it was a devils advocate choice I think I’d rather him be our big sale.

We're also overstocked in Galbraith's position as is. He is the best midfield option we have, but even with him gone, we'll still have Franco, Stamenic, Fulton, Widdell, and Walta for next season, of which only Fulton is presumably not first-choice

There is no chance we'll get 15-20M for Galbraith unless he stays another year and develops a lot further.

I would sell Vp he's had a brilliant season with his value at its peak now would be the time to sell ,
Hopefully £15 plus would be good to offset our losses .
Maybe half invested in a couple of new players .
Adam Idah to lead the line ,
Bobby Wales to come back needs game time to prove if he's good enough .
Morgan Bates 19 year old had a great season for the under 21 scored 20 plus goals .
Josh Thomas to come back , Matos with his coaches need to see if he is worth keeping .

A couple of strikers in League 1 worth looking at
Dom Ballard at Leyton Orient 21 year old
23 goals in 40 games .
Orient only just survived relegation .

Jayden Wareham 21 year old at Exeter
19 goals in 46 games .
Exeter relegated .

News articles have quoted Matos in saying that the Swans would only consider selling if sides brought "serious money" and one other article I had found said that the Swans had set a 30m euro fee on him.

As always pinches of salt in various flavours need to be taken

RIP VIP

Strikers have purple patch seasons. Think Michu and McBurnie.
Management would be incompetent if they do not sell him in the Summer

So stop speculating on whether he stays.
Purple patches and our finances dictate it

Only speculation left should be how much
It is effectively a done deal
That's my thinking. Imagine if he scores 10 or less next season. We will never know granted. And yes we want to push for promotion but we got to cash in. And take 20 to 25 M this summer. It's not if it's when. As it will be like throwing money away.

Thats like saying that Ngolo Kante wasn't worth the money paid for him by Chelsea because he has only scored 29 goals over 13 seasons as a professional footballer.

It feel like a win, win scenario. Either we get a big fee for a player signed on a free or we keep the best finisher in the league. If I had to guess, I think he will leave as the money will go a long way to reinvesting in the squad. It is rare and a nice feeling to have a situation that is positive either way.
Although one thing that’s not positive is the inability of others in the squad to chip in with goals. We’d have been in big trouble this season without him finding his shooting boots.
