• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

1 up in injury time, lost 3-1 was a tough one to swallow.
Was looking at this just the other day ( knowing about our poor record v Spurs and only slightly better v Citeh and our good record against the Gunners ) but our best results were against Newcastle and Fulham.

Think It was Everton as well until we finally beat them before relegation
I was going to say Everton too until I looked up the head-to-head record. Besides beating them in the League Cup in 2014, which doesn't really count, we beat them twice in the PL:

2-1 away in January 2016
1-0 home in May 2017

We couldn't do anything against them for our first years in the PL, but then only lost 1 of our last 8 league games against them (2 wins, 5 draws).

What a sole win against Man City it was though. If Man United had avoided shitting the bed against either Wigan or Everton, we would have been one of the main reasons City wouldn't have won the title that season (their only loss after us was Arsenal away).

We had another amazing stat of being only the 3rd club in prem league history to have done the double over Utd and Arsenal in the same season.
