Big game this... need to start picking up points against those around and below us.

Need to be winning this. Coming agonisingly close last 2 games v top sides, beating teams like Derby and upcoming Pompey should be very do able.
We are looking 'leggy' late on in games which is worrying, and we really need to start growing a pair to see sides off. But iff scoring 3 against Lids doesn't give us plenty of confidence, then Luke is shyte at mind games.

We need a Barry Bannon battery pack for Joe Allen..
I am a bit confused by the way we use Allen. I understand wanting to maximise what you can get from a player, and Allen's experience makes him useful in that role of 'leading the press', but he does nothing with the ball and can't even manage an hour. We bring him off after 55 minutes every week, surely that isn't the most effective handling of a player? Also feels like a waste of a substitution break to bring him off so soon after half time.

Just realised that this game is 'category A', and so the club are charging £32.50 for a ticket. How do they work any of these categories out? Over £30 to play a team in the relegation zone (and were only ever going to be lower half), but Norwich and Sheffield United - genuine promotion/play-off contenders - are Category C? Madness.

Edit: This was me talking about the Swans pricing for Portsmouth, completely forgetting that this match thread is for the Derby game. I can be a bit thick x

Eh?

Derby aren’t in the relegation zone and in any case we’re away.

A lot of games coming up against sides around us and mostly below us, starting on Wednesday. It will be interesting to see where we are at by the end of January.
