It's been a crazy few weeks. And though I am the first to point out the negatives. Let's start with some positives. No doom or gloom comments. We know the situation and what is happening. Let me kick this off.

1. New Captain With Grimes Gone
2. New Midfield Pairing
3. Possibly New Additions

I personally think it cannot get worse. Yes we can get relegated. But a shake up is what we have all been wanting and with Grimes possibly going I believe it might stop what we have seen for seasons. Yes Managers etc are to blame. But has Grimes been the core of alot of our issues?

The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist

It's only positive if the building blocks on and off the pitch are put in place. So that means having the correct chain in the club consisting of owners - manager - captain - playing squad. Get that right and you have a competitive side in the league. Get it wrong like Plymouth and Luton and now us everything falls apart like a deck of cards.

Oh defo. Sadly we are not able to know what works and what doesn’t behind the scenes and can only view our opinion on the results on the pitch. I was merely trying to find open, and optimistic positivity. 👍👍

If this does happen, I guess Williams will be the first manager since relegation from the Premier League to build a midfield without Stat Grimes at the centre of it?

It would likely mean we will be going in for Ethan Galbraith as his replacement.

Him and Franco in a proper holding midfield role, no one dropping in as a 3rd centre half.

True. Though I wish Williams wasn't that person. It would be nice for a fresh manager to come in and not have to be laboured with a captain who cannot be dropped.

I like sound of that already. But do I trust Williams to do this? See positivity 😍😍

I wouldn't trust Williams to build a dog kennel never mind a midfield, with or without Grimes...
Let's get that positive energy back into the room. I brought the energy down. Now let's all think of a lovely new midfield. Even if it's a Williams version 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Going to stick my neck out here.
If Grimes leaves,Williams as long as he is here will not play another midfielder in that role of dropping in between the centre backs.

Grimes going will break up that routine.

Yeah I would agree. Well I hope so. With Fulton he might. But new pairing maybe not. Food for thought.

Why though? It's not as if grimes was good at it so Williams had no choice but to?

People have talked about a hard reset. Now's our chance.

Coleman has to deliver in the last week of the window however. A replacement for Grimes and 2/3 decent loans will do for starters, but we need to get shot of the pound shop Ten Hag as well.
