• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Gotta laugh at names mentioned. Laudrup mun. He was here when we were competing with the best in Britain. We're at best Championship, could still be L1. I know we're excited but get a grip lol
As mentioned Laudrup has been out of a job for about 6 years
Its not like he is drawing interest from across Europe
Same with Bielsa, he has been out of work for about two years now?
Currently managing the Uruguay u23 squad but hasn't been with a domestic club since 2022 when he left leeds

The biggest issues we will have in recruiting a manager will be the state of the club and the geography.

If there's someone decent and available who at least is okay living in Swansea then that's half the battle right there.

The state of the club......that's a whole other story.

The clubs position in the league is one thing, but the state of the club internally would be the biggest barrier to getting in a "proper" manager such as Laudrup or Bielsa, neither of them would put up with car crash transfer windows or internal bickering between owners and would sooner walk out than deal with that sort of nonsense

To have any chance of that kind of appointment Coleman will have to let go of his control freak style and let various departments and staff do their jobs

No idea who I want, nor does it really matter, but I wouldn't be surprised to see us go for Carsley or Brian Barry Murphy

File under ‘sentimental appointment’

Absolutely no thanks.
Yeah, i'd say no former managers and no to the likes of Gerrard and Rooney. But then I was happy when Luke was appointed, so my managerial opinions probably shouldn't be trusted 😂
