• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Not sure why he had Cullen starting, was never gonna get any joy against their backline. Pleased for Vipo, thought he did OK when came on.
For long time both sides looked scared to lose, but Derby stunk the place out,and we wernt far behind.
Wins a win tho, and thought the East were in fine voice today.
Is Sheehan the answer? Absolutely not.

That was one of the worst spectacles I have ever seen. Both teams. Simply awful.

But it's nice to see us come out on the right end of a scrappy game for once. We're usually crap at that.

We've got a shit squad with very few talented footballers right now. That's the only way we can win games, by defending properly, keeping it tight and not making stupid mistakes, which Martinball and Williamsball was riddled with.

I don't want Sheehan long term but he's doing a professional job, he's focused on safety and that's all that matters for now.

On Darling, I'm not sure he'll want to go to be 4th or 5th choice at Birmingham?

Klarer, Davies (who they hope to sign permanently), centre back already agreed to sign on a free from Germany, Bielik, Hanley all on the books

If not Birmingham who do you think he will go too? Bristol City would be odd one for me. That's been rumoured. Though they are in a rare play off position at moment.

Borefest 101. Seen far more worse matches this season from us. But Sheehan for me has not helped his cause for the job. If it's true from what was said at the fans forum that the top brass watch every match and send detailed feedback to higher ups, then I cannot see them being over pleased with today's style. Even if we did win. I can't see how we Can build a team with Fulton and Co. For example, why is Christie still being used? Get a Under 21 player in. Christie adds nothing.

Anyone that sees that as Sheehan being tactically correct today is an idiot. A win is what mattered but we had three shots.
Harsh. I didn’t see the game or manage to listen to it so was dependent on this forum and BBC for updates. He put out a packed defence and negative looking midfield, switched to a much more attacking 4-2-3-1 in the final quarter and won the game. From that perspective the idea that it was a tactical decision rather than just a disastrous error that he was too stubborn to change until it was nearly too late seemed reasonable to me. What I hadn’t factored in was that I am idiot. Thanks Lisa, the remaining years of my life will be much easier to manage now I know.

Darling will go anywhere which doubles his wages regardless whether he plays or not

Wasn't pretty but we don't do pretty anymore, got past a side that had won four out of four and were full of confidence coming in to the game today, whats not to like. Things could be worse... CF 😅🖕

Derby’s last four games (all wins) were against Preston (above us), Blackburn (also above us), Coventry (play-off contenders) and Plymouth (bottom of the table). On paper, that’s a very good result today against an in-form team.

Sounds like it was poor entertainment. Sorry to hear that. Having been to many terrible games this season and recently, I sympathise.

And maybe Sheehan got the right answer by asking the wrong question. But on paper, looks like a tactical success to me.

I caught a bus from Carmarthen to Swansea and the bus ride was the highlight of my afternoon (up to 6pm).
