We have now reached the point mathematically where we can neither go down or up.

If there was a time to give youngsters an opportunity with little riding on it then this is it, QPR are also similarly safe and out of the relegation battle. Ben Lloyd has been on the bench for the past few games, Ginnelly has spent the past couple of weeks playing for the u23's to build up his fitness, Govea and Lissah also have been recovering from injuries with the u21s and Sam Parker has also spent significant time on the bench for us over the past month with only the occasional cameo.
I would be looking at involving Ginnelly in the remaining 3 games with an eye on the last game of the season as a start for him.

I don't think Fulton has been that bad since Grimes.
He was a bit slow when he came on against Hull but the speed of the game was beyond him but he was the only experienced option to come on for a tiring Joey.

He might get a start today.
I’d have thought he’d start today as well.

The problem is we only have four CM's considered for the first team so Fulton is always going to feature with Allen and previously Franco unable to last 90 mins.

We have left ourselves short but we have a summer to correct and improve the centre midfield

It's a shame we sold Abdulai rather than loaned him out. It would have been interesting to see what he could do under a manager who may actually play him in his natural position. Not saying he'd be a star, but could have been a decent option off the bench given our limited numbers in CM.

No goals for Leyton Orient since the hat-trick in his second game, but he's playing regularly and they're in 6th place.

Ok, I was against Sheehan getting the job full-time a month or two ago...with the sort of unrealistic caveat of 'oh, unless he wins the next 5 or 6 games'. Fortunately (or unfortunately from a confusion point of view), this is exactly what has happened.

Is Sheehan doing an unbelievable job or was Williams even worse than we all thought?

I think we all knew that Williams was a bit of a charlatan Smurph, we produced dire stuff with decent players after him (which is being proven now). At the end of the day, it's a results business and you can't really have too much against what Sheehan has produced. Granted, it's not all rosey, but we've gone from relegation being a very realistic proposition to the playoffs being within (distant) sight.

Not confusing whatsoever.

What’s occurring is:
- we ditched two shite managers (Martin and his Willy)
- our talented squad has been unshackled with a half decent manager

Imagine what a proper decent manager can achieve with our richly assembled talented squad, ambitious new owners and a best-in-class recruitment apparatus which has already delivered LOB, Widdel, HD et al…

It’s all proper Simplz

And it’s all proper exciting times ……

Doubts crept in after we lost to Wycombe in the league cup.

I know it's all ifs and buts. Can you imagine what could have happened if he'd been sacked sooner.

Whether Sheehan gets the job or not, he certainly deserves a lot of credit for restoring the feel good factor to the club.

A big 15 mins for Sheehan - if he messes this up the Swingometer will be swinging against him, big time…….

Give him the job before the Millwall game

The odds of a playoff place are slim but they are there and I can't think of a better way to fire a rocket under our players than to hear that the coach they have played out of their skins for these past two months has earned himself a permanent deal.

Bit of both for me.

You can't challenge for promotion with a striker like Vip or Cullen. And our CBs struggle against top forwards.

But you can keep a good team shape, work hard off the ball and be professional - these are all things that were not happening under Williams.

I can't see the case for not giving it to him after this great run. The feelgood factor is back for me.
