Riis has always struck me as a tricky target man… causes teams lots of problems. Scored 12 goals in a poor, low scoring team.

Would offer something different for us.

We have enough low scoring strikers as it is. If we're going to invest up front again, it needs to be a genuine needle mover, not another squad filler.

I’d be interested to know this as he’s coming from a low standard of league being the Dutch 2nd division, T Joe came in from the top flight of Dutch football and can’t get a look in here.

I didn't know he was in the Dutch 2nd division.
Judging players in foreign leagues is always hit or miss.
Bony came from the Dutch league & was a success (1st time anyway).
Hopefully & without stating the obvious, they are judging players on individual potential.
Other Championship clubs are supposedly looking at him too so must have something about him.

Our league needs players with a few traits.. fluffy technique is great but if you have no grit, physicality or pace you are going to struggle unless you can hide in the back four somewhere.

Toe looked out of his depth v Wycombe which begged the question why he was signed and not used again.

This summer needs more savvy thinking on the recruitment front.
