On a serious note, are players drug tested during the off-season?

Probably on the 1st day back of pre season, unless someone knows different?
I mean, they are employed by the club year round, so technically they could be called in at any time.

I think in other sports (cycling) you have, or had, to make yourself available for an hour every day, all year round.The sportsperson uploads whereabouts to a shared calendar. It must be right to do so, otherwise everyone would load up on the appropriate gear over the summer and come back about as natural as Kim Kardashian.

Same in rugby, my brother was on a sailing boat holiday with a Welsh international a few years ago in the off season. He had to make himself available for one hour a day and would list the location as 'middle of the Adriatic sea'.
