Inoussa/EOM. Many say Inoussa starts left wing and EOM plays No 10. I don't see how this works in reality. Sheehan's favored formation is 4-3-3. Two of those front 3 being wingers, lets say Inoussa and Ronald, which means EOM would be playing as the only striker No 9. Do not see it myself.

I would think bringing in a striker who struggled to score in the National League and League 2 would be pretty underwhelming.
I know the standard of the SPL is a bit variable, but it's at least League One standard on average. Wrexham wanted to sign him on an extended contract in January, so clearly his endeavours north of the border haven't gone unnoticed.

If that's true, it would be interesting to know why he couldn't score for Wrexham in the NL or L2, while the team were powering their way to promotion (7 goals in 72 games!).

The really bold approach would be to have Eom and Widdell to each side of Franco in a central 3. That could be very tasty.

In the National league campaign although he only scored 8 with 4 assists out of 49 games, his average Fotmob rating was 7.5, which is top drawer. He clearly did a lot right. 2 goals and 4 assists came in the FA Cup run.

Clearly we would need to have scouted him to see if he's likely to make the step up to Championship football. But he clearly has some of the credentials for a 9 in his aerial ability, hold up play (8 assists last season) and defensive work.

It may surprise some of you that I suggest this, but what about Sam Dalby of Wrexham? Was offered a contract extension in January but turned it down and now available on a free. Scored 15 goals in the SPL on loan with Dundee United.

Those who are triggered by stats please skip the following.

3 penalties in those 15 goals, but still a very good return from 34 matches. His defensive stats are quite superb. 307 duels won, best in league for a striker. As are his 244 aerial duels won. Clearly formidable in the air. Above average on 9 out of 12 defensive metrics.

Also the best in the league for touches and one of the best for touches in the opposition box. 31 chances created, which is nearly best in league. Only negative is his pass accuracy of just 59.2 per cent. Bizarrely his long ball accuracy of 63.2 per cent is better.

Dalby's attributes best fit a long ball side, but perhaps he would fit Sheehanball pretty well, especially with his defensive strengths. We have excellent crossers in Eom and Tymon. Dalby would certainly be able to exploit quality head high deliveries, which only Darling has been able to take advantage of consistently last season.

I admit that the name did jump out to me too considering he'd done so well on loan. However, we already have 4 strikers wages on the books, none of which are convincing (plus a youngster coming). If we're signing another striker now it needs to be a real guarantee of goals or we simply can't gamble the wages when we only have 1 centre back for example.

Because the current theory amongst us is something like

--------------------- Franco -------------- Widell ----------------------
------------------------------- Eom -------------------------------------
Ronald -------------------------------------------------------- Inoussa
---------------------------- Striker X -----------------------------------

I know you love the Fotbmob ratings, but we already have 3 strikers who don't score a lot of goals. I'm not sure why we'd sign one who scores hardly any goals.

What was his Fotmob rating in League 2, where he scored 1 goal in 31 games?

Plus we have signed/are about to sign Wales. I don't see another striker coming in unless Yates and possibly one of Cullen or Vipotnik leave.

My gut tells me (big gut) that of all the strikers on the books Vipotnik is the one to persevere with. Still young and has some physicality.
Bianchini could be a wild card - but we have not seen enough to really judge.
We need to downsize the salaries/cash in on probably 3 of Cullen Yates Mykola Ginnelly Bianchini Vipotnik to make room for quality additions - with Bobby Cymru already on his way.

I keep finding these little gems for all of you. And I would love it if this happened.

So if Fisher is sold. Why not Fabianski? On a free - 1 yr rolling contract.

He reclaimed his spot in the West Ham starting 11 mid season and made 16 starts for them in PL at age 39. Just turned 40.

Before you all pooh pooh this thought consider this from Fabs back in January during an interview with Viaplay Sport Polska

"Fabiański revealed that he harbors a personal dream of playing once more for Swansea City in the Premier League or a cup match. He clarified that this is merely a personal wish and not indicative of any confirmed transfer interest from the club."

Also a bit more googling got this....

Fabianski turned down a move back to his original club Legia Warsaw 2 days ago telling the sporting director there he wanted to stay in England for a few more years
Not one reply. Amazed. He wants to play for us again even if its only cup matches and he is on a Free

If the wages are Ok, which I doubt, I'd have him as backup. Interesting that you think a 29 year old centre half is too old and yet a 39 year old goalie is young enough.

1. Goalkeepers can play longer, see Shilton, Banks etc.
2. The goalkeeper has been a regular starter at Premier League level
3. The 29 year old defender has never player above League One level.

Not saying he can't make it at Championship level but there's a level of disingenuous comparison in your post.
