Just like the rest.

How anyone can think the winter window was anything other than a disaster is beyond me.
The only positives to come out of the winter window were O'Brien's loan (and that cost us big money) and Coleman being found out by the owners and forced out of his role. Widell might be another positive but the proof of that will come next season

Yeah ok - that's a good point.
Maybe I'm getting my window's mixed up. Which one was it where we didn't sign anyone after several deals collapsed 'late on'.

The winter window has to be considered a success because we got a better midfielder in than the one we sold and we subsequently went on a tremendous run of results (although changing the manager may have had something to do with that...).

Of course the better midfielder was only a loan and presumably not cheap, so what we do this summer will have a big impact on how we view the winter window. Specifically whether we make a permanent midfield signing better than the player we sold.

We also replaced one loan CB who seemingly wasn't good enough to get a game with one who was good enough to play regularly, so that's a bonus.

That was the last window before Martin left. A complete sh*t-show and you could tell the wheels had fallen off the relationship between Martin and the board at that time. Think that was also the window where we had a weird Zoom video with Levien and someone else explaining why we hadn't signed anyone.

There could also be other sh*t windows you're thinking of as we've had a few.

I’ve been utterly tit bored with watching Martinball, Duff football and Lukewarm non football, for the past how many seasons? Dunno, I’ve lost count. For the first time in 20 years, I gave up my season ticket this season because of it.
But watching actual proper football for the last couple of months has been a complete breath of fresh air.
What Alan Sheehan has done with more or less the same players is extraordinary.
We’re Buying good young talent, a DOF who seems to know what he’s doing for a change, we seem to have progressive new owners, with what looks like monied people in the background, brought one of the best players in the world on board, a scouting system that’s bearing fruit, fek me ! what’s there to moan about??

I get the view that people don't see it as a disaster especially given what followed, I believe it was a gamble but it certainly worked out wether it was by luck or judgement is another debate.
I used the word disaster myself but did withdraw from that later......that word imo was a bit too much after thought on it.

O'Brien worked out superbly but Delcroix wasn't anything special and we have yet to see Widell play to make judgement.
I think the intentions were good in the window but Coleman didn't help the matter by coming in trying to scramble to get signings over the line after the recruitment team struggled to get deals over the line originally. I believe that a lot has been learned from this for the better going forward as highlighted by the signings of Inoussa and Wales.
