The opening day for pub debacle was down to him trying to be too ambitious in getting it opened for the bank holiday. Great viewing mind.

When you have £50m+ in the bank, he can afford to throw money at it. Plus that net worth goes up with every season, so it’s a win win for him really. I work with a dairy farm owner, he explains to me all the time about the costs of trying to turn a profit. Different type of farm to Clarkson obviously.

Yep, he should have just concentrated on the pub and restaurant for a little while and then expanded instead of going hammer and tongs at it to get it all completed and ready for the Bank Holiday the opening day and few days after were a disaster the two Managers left other staff left, probably out of frustration plus his attitude no doubt he wouldn't listen to the people who knew how to get the business up and running, I was surprised that the Chef didn't walkout as well.

Lol.. Your mates know NOTHING, the majority of the actors on Mobland, are struggling for gigs, even my favourite from the series Tom Hardy, have you seen the state of Havoc on Netflix?

Anyway it's my series of the Year so far, and I just hope your mates have not got a clue.

On a more realistic note, I did google will there be a Season 2, straight after I watched the last episode, and it seems the consensus is. Yes!! there will be. Hoorah.

Havoc was filmed in 2021 (almost all of it in Wales) and then needed reshoots which were delayed by the SAG/AFRA strikes, so you can't point to that as an indication of his career right now. I'll give it a watch at some point as it was made by Gareth Evans, the creator of one of the greatest action films ever made.

Anyway, the idea that Tom Hardy is struggling for work is one of the funniest things I have read on the Internet in a while, so thanks for that. Not to mention those famously out of work actors like Pierce Brosnan, Paddy Considine and Helen f*king Mirren!

Rewatched 'One Day' on netflix. I'm hardly what you woul dcall a romantic but I have to say, I dont think I have ever watched a better series. The book was great. The film was terrible but this.... They just got it right. The casting was note perfect. 14 episodes. The best thing that has ever been on netflix without a doubt.

By coincidence, my daughter has just sent a video of her at the top of Arthur's seat in Edinburgh.
We were just talking about how we enjoyed that show.

Mobland became a little too cartoonish and tried to cram too many plot lines as it went on. It was an 18 rated Eastenders with A-list actors by the end.

Still a fun watch overall. Not fussed if there's a 2nd season or not, although I'd no doubt watch it if there was.

Trying to watch a few shows that people have recommended or that I've been meaning to watch but never got around to:

Mr Robot - Weird enough to keep me watching for the first few episodes, but it's losing me a little halfway through season 1. Will try and finish that season and reassess.
Ozark - Liked it so far (aim to watch the last 2 episodes of S1 tonight). Never a dull moment. Some great characters.
Better Caul Saul - Seen about 5 episodes so far. Enjoyed it. Written/Directed/Filmed very much like BB (for obvious reasons), so feels good to be back in that world again. Hopefully it grows characters that make it stand on its own 2 feet as it goes on.

I used to watch it when it came out on regular TV (Channel 4?) and I remember it being very good. I doubt I've seen more than 2 seasons though and haven't watched it for donkey's years. Assuming you have, does the quality stay high throughout?

I would say that we are partial to that spy/cia MI5/MI6 stuff and we loved Spooks so going to be biased. Loved it all the way through and it was high quality, nice twist at the end

Watched two episodes of that but couldn’t get into it. Too many dour characters in it for me.

I understand what you mean, it’s not an easy watch but lots of issues get sorted the further in you go. The relationship between the main character and his “shrink” is brilliantly done.

Well I guess i should have said ' struggling for good gigs'. I wasn't exactly clear what i meant.

And by all means, please take a look at Havoc, I would be surprised if you had anything good to say about it. after actually watching it.

I just finished it last night, hard to disagree about the dour characters. Must admit, I'm quite fond of Akram and the Wife is as well, he's like a beast.

I expect a season 2.
