Summer Transfer Window

WOL giving tentative links to Galbraith again and an Israeli international recently released by his club.
Gabi Kanichowsky. Ferencvaros want him. Robbie Keane was his manager at Maccabi Tel Aviv. Took the Ferencvaros job in January so player and manager both know each other will.

“However, WalesOnline has learned they have come back to the table this week and are now ready to explore the possibility of a move again, having made further enquiries.”
Galbraith feels like he’d be a good fit with us.

He would be a good addition, he is capable of playing RB and central midfield which would help if we are going to cut numbers of the squad.
Hopefully the rumoured fee that has done the rounds is just paper talk....given he has 12 months left of his contract then I would suspect it was.

Not saying I am comfortable with the possibility of an Israeli joining us but his views and beliefs might not mirror that of his countries leaders.
I have zero problem myself with us recruiting an Israeli player any more so than a Spanish player, a Chinese player or a South Korean one (or a North Korean one for that matter though I don't think there are any professional North Korean players outside of North Korea itself without resorting to google). Every football player (and people of any career for that matter) is entitled to the right to be employed without their religion and world outlook being held against them.

I believe that everyone is entitled to their religious beliefs and their opinions on the wars with Iran and Palestine, as long as the prospective player keeps those opinions to himself and doesn't turn the club into a platform for him to air those views and risk turning the club into a soap opera and bringing it into disrepute.

Whether or not I agree with those views is besides the point (I'm not going down this rabbit hole again), I have made my thoughts on the genocidal maniacs in charge of Israel perfectly clear before. No matter if someone's opinion is right or wrong, the club does not exist for them to use it to push their agenda in the public eye.

I do agree though that currently it would be a very risky proposition to bring in such a player without extremely strict due diligence and risk assessment for the reputation of the club.

Where does Widdell play?
From what very little research I’ve done, he seems like a 10.
If so, we need to replace O’Brien and Joe.
Stamenic and Galbraith would tick a lot of boxes.
