• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I’m not one who cares very much about the kit as I’m not 12 years old and, to be honest, most of them look like they’ve been put together by someone who has very little taste, but isn’t it a bit weird that the players are back in training and we have no kit as yet? It’s not great commercially when we need to up our commercial game considerably.
We do have a kit, Lis'.

Well yes, I assume so, I meant publicly available for the kids to buy (and adults I guess) for summer.

We appear to have a new training sponsor from the pics I’ve seen on twitter as well. Haven’t seen any announcement from the club about that.
Just odd it’s so late that’s all. Earlier the better for these things. It’s why the premier league clubs now release them at the end of the previous season - there’s no ‘gap’ period where there’s effectively no kit to buy. We’ve now had two or three months of no kit purchases since the last one was discounted down.

Could it in any way be linked to 1st of July and the finance "reset" others have been chatting about? Release and sell after that and offset against that years costs? No clue just a random thought

Liverpool only released theirs yesterday
Yes, but that’s because of a specific issue with the change over from Nike to Adidas with them being legally unable to sell the new kit until August 1st. They are even playing pre season in the old kit as a result. Their new deal is worth tens of millions extra a season for them so it’s understandable that they will go along with the problem they have.

Anyway, it’s not a huge issue, it’s just a bit odd that’s all. I imagine our kit will be white…

With gold playing a part somehow would be my guess given the recent posts from the official site which are showing a particularly golden Rhossili beach against a white surf…

No. The ‘cut off’ thing is pretty overstated to be honest . The FFP rules are three year rolling amounts - it doesn’t all ‘reset’ in a clean start. If we had more profit (less loss) last year we’d have more available this year and vice versa. There is an annual limit but we shouldn’t be absolutely up against that unless something very strange is going on.

They have been sponsors for about a year. But obviously gone up a step with training kit sponsorship

They must have fought off some stiff competition to become the official resin partner!!!

Spoke to the Kitman yesterday... another 2 weeks until they're released.

Also chatted to the photographer who has taken the Kit release photos and said it looks really nice but wasn't giving much away.
