• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Unbelievable.
Moments like this that just make you realise how precious life is.

Not sure if it's right but he only got married 2 wks ago.

Extremely distressing to hear that he'd only got married a couple of weeks ago. A bride so suddenly widowed, his brother died as well. Very, very sad news.

His brother too. Such a brilliant player as well. His family must be in bits. And his teammates. Not to mention the supporters. Absolutely horrendous news. We've been here with Besian, we know better than most. Thoughts with everyone close to him.

Three young children, just married. His parents have lost two sons in an instant. How can people recover from something like this?

Horrendous. RIP

Tragic news. Two young lives lost, countless others devastated, and a huge hole in Liverpool football club. RIP.

Shocking. RIP.

We're all tip-toeing along a precipice and taking it for granted we won't fall. Make the most of it while you have it. I need to take my own advice.

Tragic,absolutely tragic.
From most reports it seems they had a blow-out whilst overtaking on a narrow ish road in a high powered car.

I doubt many of you greenhorns will remember but when we played Jamaica in pre-season 2001 as part of the Walter Boyd deal many of the Jamaican fans had banners saying RIP Stephen ‘Shorty’ Malcolm.
Malcolm had been killed a few of months earlier in a car crash.
I was in the manager’s office after the game and I mentioned it too John Hollins.
He said it was tragic and that every pre-season at every club he’d been at he’d be shitting himself over the safety of his players every pre-season and international break because the club had no control over what players got up to.
RIP Jota.
