• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

The sad irony is that he was driving to the ferry due to doctors advice not to fly after recent surgery.
My first reaction when I saw the BBC website this morning was "holy shit"

I remember having a similar reaction in a pub in Cardiff when the breaking news popped up of Gary Speed taking his own life. Still remember that day vividly

Shocking. RIP.

We're all tip-toing along a precipice and taking it for granted we won't fall. Make the most of it while you have it. I need to take my own advice.
Never a truer word. About 12 years ago I was diagnosed with probable bladder cancer, only 2-3% find it's not malignant. Operation just before Xmas, worst Xmas in years. January brought the news that it was benign. Dodged a bullet, so life takes on a new meaning. Definitely don't sweat the small stuff anymore.

Wow, shocked at this tragic news. Feel so sad for his wife and parents who will never get over this.

Unbelievably shocking news.

There’s nothing more sobering than the death of someone who’s been immortalised in life.

It’s not quite as devastating to me as the news of Gary Speed’s suicide but it comes very close.

The photo of them celebrating their wedding with their children is one of the most heartbreaking things that I’ve seen in some time.

Awfully tragic. A blowout is something I’ve experienced a couple of times and there is no warning but I can’t help feel that being able to afford a supercar doesn’t necessarily mean you should just be able to drive one without some kind of extra qualifications.

Awful news - I can't imagine what his new wife, kids and family are feeling. Far too young.

I don't want to be 'that guy', but I'm interested what the accident report will say in terms of speeds. I've had a blowout once, doing about 72-73mph or so on the M4 (it was pitch black, on my way to the airport at 3am). Scary as hell, but normally pretty controllable if you're a confident driver.

Of course, shit can happen at any speeds...but it did look rather catastrophic.

Yeah, I'm with you on that one, even as a petrolhead. A little like they have with motorcycle licences for different engine sizes and rider age.

It's a bit mental that a 17 year old can pass their test and jump in 1000bhp car straight away.

Hats off to the Oasis marketing team.
Tragic news.
I also have very fast vehicles
Very sad news.
Thoughts are with the family.

According to an update by sky sports and the Spanish police, Jota was driving and the vehicle was going above the speed limit for the road they were on.
