• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

    All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

    Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

    It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

    The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

    Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

With the results of the recent Trust Board Nominations announced on the 5th July we can confirm that there are vacancies for additional co-opted members to serve on the Trust Board until 31st July 2026.

Applications are invited from current Swans Trust members who are aged 16 or over.

As well as full name, address and date of birth each applicant should include approximately 250 words on why they wish to join the Trust board, what attributes/skills they can bring to the role and in what areas they feel they can contribute.

A well as assisting with the duties outlined in the embedded Board Members Guidelines 2025 the areas we anticipate we specifically require more support this season are:

  • assisting with managing, updating and emailing information to members utilising our automated database;
  • aid with preparing and issuing supporter related news and updates for uploading to our Trust website plus supporting our communications team;
  • provide input and help provide digital material for our social media and other communication platforms; and
  • providing professional advice and support to our legal, finance, marketing and membership sub groups.

All applications (or enquiries) should be sent by email to me at dave.jones@swanstrust.co.uk and must be received by no later than 5pm on Sunday 3rd August 2025.

Applications for co-option will be considered by the Trust Board on Monday 4th August who will then vote to appoint co-opted members to serve on the board up to the 31st July 2026.
