Knife crime has soared by 86% in London in a decade, and nearly 60% over the last three few years. Like I said (with perfect timing) the press have (with perfect timing) further proved the staggering decline of a once revered city, it's reputation is at rock bottom levels.

It's amazing how a city with a reputation 'at rock bottom levels' attracts more tourists every year since Covid and in the most recent figures was ranked as the second highest city in the world for international arrivals, behind only Istanbul.

The knife crime figures are indeed disturbing, as are the pickpockets in Rome, the gangs in Paris and the myriad other issues that the most populous cities in the world tend to suffer from. It's almost as if any place with a huge population of people is going to face some major issues. Who would have thunk it?

Last figures I saw showed knife crime had risen by 23% in Wales. Won’t someone think about us poor Welshies as well as the cocker knees?
