• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Thank God all that is over. Let’s see what happens with the real thing.

Middlesbrough just drew 2-2 with Deportivo de Coruña, they are unbeaten in pre-season. (edit: went by what someone said on their forum, looks like they lost 2-0 to Bradford in one game and drew all the rest)

So obviously, we'll win first game.

My take on today is 1. Burgess is at least the equal of HD defensively 2. Galbraith could easily be our POTY 3. Jury's out for me atm on Widell 4. Innoussa is 3x the player Ronald is 5. Eom will come good again when match fit 6. I know i can't stand Fulton, but keep him from defence or passing backwards and he may be of value 7. Wales not ready to start for us 8. We need at least another 4 bodies in the building 9.Culls will get us goals but he wont create them for anybody else.10. We'll lose next Sat.

Apart from the pen and a tackle, I don’t think Cullen had a meaningful touch in their half (not blaming him).
Galbraith looked great.
They were far too quick for us, both mentally and physically.
They were playing killer balls into danger areas and following up with a wave of 4/5 players.

Need a figurehead up top not doubt, we need someone who can hold the ball up and bring others into the game.

We are so void of any shape of presence up top and the pre-season has just confirmed what we lacked last season in the final third.

Can't pay too much notice to pre-season games, mind. We look a little undercooked. £1.50 a can in the Railway, though. All's good.

I need a sprinkle of your positivity. The most important thing is how was the can? 😂

I would look more dangerous than Ronald on the wing. If he wasn't Brazilian then people would give him far less time
He looks a threat down the left but for some reason managers keep persisting with him down the right. Saying that we were feeding of scraps first half so pretty hard to blame the front players

Being unfair on Cullen, he had a good goal diasallowed too.
