• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

To be fair, he went from being a low draft pick (every NFL team passed on him multiple times) who was expected to be a backup quarterback at best, to become the GOAT.

He has always come across as an odd sort though.
Humility isn’t a trait of his.

The show goes to great lengths to keep telling us how amazing he was / is. It’s meant to be about Birmingham or at least that’s what I was led to believe 🤣

I’d heard his name before, but wouldn’t have a clue what sport or anything about him. He soon lets you know during this show 🤣
I only know of him as he was married to Gisele Bundchen before she dumped him for her yoga instructor or similar. (Maybe her personal trainer). They have children together. Anyway, at the risk of sounding shallow, I do like a bit of celebrity gossip…

Just finished watching the three Yellowstone series, 1883, 1923 and Yellowstone itself. We watched them in date order rather than when they were released.
Have to say that Mrs Mute and I thoroughly enjoyed them all. Some great acting throughout.
I've watched a few of Yellowstone series, up to 4 i think.
decided to go back and start at 1883, before 1923 and then carrying on.
Its an excellent show tbf. never know what's coming, and the cast have mostly been excellent.

The story in NFL circles is he promised her he was retiring at the end of the 21/22 season to spend more time with her and their kids. He announced his retirement, but only lasted 40 days before changing his mind and coming back. Gisele apparently didn't take it well. Perhaps that's when she turned to the yoga instructor/personal trainer.

To contribute to the thread, the wife and I (who are incredibly slow at getting through tv shows) recently finished the first series of Poker Face, which we both really enjoyed. We'll go on to Season 2, but started the new series of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds tonight because she's almost as much of a geek as me.

Early part of next year, there's another Yellowstone spinoff called - "Y: Marshals" being released.

Taylor Sheridan must be making a fvcking fortune out of all these series. 😳

Reacher on Prime is outstanding, a bit ridiculous, but captivating, not watched the films yet as its Tom Cruise, which I doubt will be better after watching the actor who plays him in the series

I didn’t realise until very late on in the last season that Taylor Sheridan was actually acting as one of the rodeo riders, Travis Wheatley. He appears, to me at least, to be a superb rider.

Yep - he actually owns The 6666 Ranch which features heavily in the series and where a lot of the cowboy actors work.

Plus he also owns the Bosque Ranch, where "1883" and "Lawman, Bass Reeves" were filmed.

Cruise is a good actor but ridiculously miscast as Reacher. Needs an orange box in the fight scenes.

Yeah not seen the films and comparing Cruise, as good an actor he is and even though not seen them it feels like a miscast

Just finished the first season of Landman. Wonderful. Billy Bob Thornton is just incredible. Can’t wait for season 2. Even Mrs Mute enjoyed it.
Agreed, just finished it the other day, incredible! Must admit I was hooked from the opening scene.

Same for me as well, regards to season 2, a google after the show tells me it’s expected around December this year.
