• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

The Netflix series about Hurricane Katrina is a really tough watch.

Note: episode 1 is tedious but it gets better.

Just finished it. Nobody can tell me that America isn’t a backward country. I’m sure there’s decent people living there but fuck me.

Can't be bothered to read right through the thread again, but has anyone watched 'Them' on Amazon Prime?
Just finished series one and thought it was outstanding.
Definitely not one to allow kids to watch though. Basically its a tale of racial prejudice in 1950s Los Angeles but with a huge dose of satanic horror thrown in. It's very harrowing and gory in places, viewer discretion advised.

Slow horses is back. Found the first episode a bit too skewed towards the unsympathetic side of the characters which took much of the lightness of the humour out. Still worth a watch. Episode two tonight.

Ah great, I love the show, I’ll wait till the current season has ended, then binge the lot.

Just caught up with Keeping Faith , binging watching till the end , no spoilers necessary please .

Eve Myles , just wow alongside the rest of the cast so far in my viewing .

Just finished House of Guinness, enjoyed it but bit slow in parts. Must be a season 2 on the cards the way it finishes.

I just can’t take to watching ‘Tommeh’ from Happy Valley. Don’t know why as he clearly can act. Just grinds. Sean Bean’s another one.

Not sure who that is, maybe the Rafferty character? I’ve been searching the old memory bank for where I’ve seen him before so perhaps that’s it.

Can’t remember the actors name! Senile. James Norton?

Binge watched Keeping Faith to the end , finished last episode just now on i Player .

So many twists and turns and great character actors in fairness , but the end plot was a real let down .

As usual a follow up seems on the cards , judging by the final scenes of high drama .

Dragged on a bit in parts , but a decent watch , my local Police Station was in shot in one scene .

The Newsreader on iplayer. Maybe I mentioned it when series 1 was on. Now it's up to series 3.

It's an Aussie drama centred, as you'll have guessed, in a TV newsroom. The characters are strong, flawed, likeable. Look out for the head of the newsroom. I won't say too much about him. He's a very entertaining watch.

Panorama - Makes for grim watching.

Note, there is good and bad in all professions but The Met seems a right old shit pit and has done for a while now. Probably only a tiny fraction of them all but still a bad look for them.
