Alan Sheehan on Birmingham City | Reaction

Not many on here are saying he's a shit manager, but the football in league games this year has been mostly boring, and he has got a tendency to try and hang on to what we have, generally from the hour mark onwards. We now have some exciting players at the club, Yalcouye, Inoussa, Galbraith so let's see some exciting attacking intent. Most posters on here can see we are crying out for a proper number 10 to link the midfield with our attack. We finished 11th last season in what most fans would say was a team crying out for exciting players and a bench that had proper quality on it. The owners have given us that this year, and as I've said previously, i don't think they are going to be happy with 11th this season with the players brought to the club and the money invested.
Boring? Where have you been for the last 6 years or so?

We certainly weren't boring against Forest.

I've been there, every game apart from illness. Seriously, do you think it's much more entertaining than it has been over the last few years. It's more direct, but we are certainly not creating a bundle of chances with the goalkeeper being tested on a regular basis. No shots on target first half against Watford and shutting up shop against Hull after 60 mins ,woeful away v Middlesbrough and again 2nd half against Birmingham.

100%

If you can't see that, then I'm not sure what else to say.

Our current form albeit early will give us 60 pts which would give us a 9th to 12th final position. I would imagine the owners will want higher than that.

Don't we all? Including the managers and players.

Not sure we can truly judge things at the moment, it's far too early in the season to write it off.

We don’t half have some bang average, turgid, easily pleased online champs nowadays, aye.

Where’s the ambitious and gung -ho crew hiding ?

Bang average on the pitch with a below bang average manager’s assistant faux manager, below bang average timid followers online armchairs.

Vanilla, in so many ways

Yet we have a Knickerboxglory (😉)deep n wide squad, with some proper ambitious owners and Sen Mgt team.

Wake up Sheeehan’s Sheeple.
Ffs - and shout loud n proud til he listens, or else…..

.

I know I’m not normal (I’m told at home all the time), but I’m always targeting 50 points first and foremost. Give me that and some excitement and I’m happy. After securing another year anything else is a bonus, and until we do, everything else is just hubristic bollox.

None of us know how good this manager or team might be, or how good other teams are yet, but we aren’t going far if we keep trying to defend 1-0 and 0-0. Even when Cooper was doing it, the amount of luck he got was outrageous.

We need that missing link and more urgency in our play and more attacking intent. Surely no one is denying that? I expect -hope- Sheehan knows that he is learning and must evolve. It’s not a case at all that ‘Sheehan is shite’, indeed he seems quite grounded, and he must surely know it needs tweaking.

For years us fans have been wishing that we had more ambitious owners, and that we had a bench full of substitutes that would impact a game. Now we have that a lot of posters are still saying they would be happy with a mid table finish. It beggars belief. I am sure the owners wouldn't be happy with that.

They got to have something to moan about........It bizarre.

I noticed Santos played 45 minutes on Saturday v Bristol City so where does he fit in. Just a squad player or is Sheehan going to put out a back three of Cabango, Santos and Burgess.
Just cover for me. If there’s any chance of picking up Casey (relatively cheaply) next summer, then I’d rather he be in the squad based on what I’ve seen so far.

So let's get some new candidates going for Sheehans Job, clearly alot of people are bored of Sheehan the way he sets up the team and the way we play boring football. I mean he does have a very good win percentage as Smurth said, he has best squad at his disposal in a while, we sit 10th, 4 points off 2nd and just won against a Premier League side. Also we have had our best start to championship since being back, oh and VP is the first player to get 5 goals in x amount of games in what 15 years or something, Scott Sinclaire record. I mean... Not sure about you... I want Sheehan Out 🤔🤔😅😅😅
