Less entitlement and more encouragement

I don’t see how previous managers come into this to be honest. If we just look at what we’re doing this season, yes we are in games but we are never in control of games.
You could just as easily flip that around and that's what the other teams who have played us would say.

The point is, we're very competitive now and we simply weren't the previous 4 years. It is undeniable progress.

I'm not saying I don't want us to improve, but one step at a time eh. Rome was not built in a day.

Really don’t know what people are expecting. We have no right to control or dominate games at this level, not realistic.
Even the sides that get promoted often don't control games. Sunderland last season for instance, they got battered in all three play off games, but still went up by hook or by crook.

I was certainly not Cooper's biggest fan as the football was hardly fun to watch (although Covid times probably didn't help) and after one season under Potter, I was hoping more entertaining football was back on the agenda.

Time has certainly proven me wrong on that one. We may have shit the bed at Wembley and I think it was clear he wanted out by that summer, but he knew how to win games (and loan really really good young players from the England youth set-up).
Cooper also had two years of para payments to fund those signings

Again, it isn’t that I think we have the right, I wasn’t expecting a lot from yesterday for example although I thought a point was doable. I want us to at least try though. What’s the point if you aren’t going to try to attack the other team in any meaningful way? I actually don’t think what we’re seeing at the moment is deliberate, it’s not like Cooper where that was the whole plan. We are trying to play a certain way but it mostly isn’t working.

Social media age.

People either want to be happy or outraged, no middle ground.
Partly agree

I’ll add that if posters give a negative comment then they are classed in the outraged group
If posters give a positive post they are classed as in the happy group
Sometimes the posts are just a middle ground view but gets categorised

I'm relatively happy, so perhaps middle ground 🤷‍♂️
There’s always a middle ground. We have a manager who appears to be a step up from the previous two, although frankly that wasn't hard to achieve. But Sheehan’s not going to deliver consistently sparkling, attacking football and anyone pretending that’s what they’re watching is equally as deluded as anyone who thinks we’re as tedious as we were under the previous two. At the moment we’re an average, mid table championship club with an average, mid table championship squad amid manager who will probably achieve an average, mid table finish. Its obviously fine to want more than that but not at the expense of a sense of realism about what’s achievable at the moment.

In short, we’re doing ok I reckon.

It's all about being right or wrong so middle ground doesn't exist then.

Criticism seems to be instantly taken as a negative rather than just pointing out a fact/view. It's the world we live in, people get upset far too easily and it seems the straight talkers who tell others "how it is" are the worse.

Hard not to take threads like "another gutless performance" as an instant negative.
