We’ve just finished watching the last in the series of Blue Lights. Absolutely superb viewing , and a new series set for next year sometime.

Always remember a French cartoon I saw once where a priest was lecturing a group of choirboys, saying "You boys need to stop masturbating, you'll go blind!".
One of the boys replies "We'll stop when we need glasses!".

You been to Specsavers lately, Jaxs?

Pego, had a lovely Sunday Lunch at the Volunteer Inn in Harold St today, mrs and I really enjoyed, went for a steak in the Bookshop friday night, Mrs took the sensible option and had a Burger they only serve Rump Steak I sent it first one back, but the second one was no better, never again  its situated in the lane behind the Green Dragon Hotel.
Fishing was crap yesterday anol.

Hi mate, glad you enjoyed the Volly, its a gem for sunday lunch. Don't know the Bookshop, sounds like I don't want to know it!
Sorry the fishing was crap but at least you were out in the fresh air.

Been watching Riot Women.. Good subject on 50 plus women and their struggles.

Sadly all the men in the serious are depicted as rapists, police staff criminals, narcissists , sexual weirdos, abusers and drug dealers . Maybe over the series it may pan out.

Yeah, it’s noticeably polarised…a slegehammer approach. The music bits are pretty unconvincing too. It’s ok, but it’s no happy valley…mind you, the blokes (even the non psychos) weren’t exactly sympathetically treated in that neither. It’s still a refreshing change from watching women getting murdered, abused and terrorised which is the standard fare.

I've watched all 6 episodes.. no spoilers !

Rosalina Craig and Joanna Scanlan were superb and will win awards for their roles

Have to say the screen writer penned all womens issues on men which will be controversial.

Yes the music was crap though 😀👍

Mrs Pego and I, looking for a fairly recent movie to watch on Netflix, took in 'The Accountant' with Ben Affleck last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. Not what I was expecting. Also watched the sequel, which kept up the standard.

The Volly has a steak night every Wednesday and think its £16 for Rump and an extra 2 quid for Sirloin, got to be worth a try although it's unusual for us to be there midweek.
