I don't know whether Carrick would have come but the money spent getting Vitor could have been doubled or trebled to tempt him.
Midfield player who would have understood what we needed with our eternally unbalanced midfield.

I still believe we have a good squad ( I am starting to question my sanity mind ) but we may as well have appointed someone from Goytre or the Ferry mun.

Eggs in one basket with Hellberg, rushed appointment when he turned us down last minute, the likes of Carrick and O Neil probably told us to do one for not being first choice anyway, and now we haven’t brought his backroom staff over, shambles.

We all hope he can turn it around but the criticism is not of him, it's of the decision to appoint him.

Is correct. In a different environment, he might well be the answer, time to develop a new culture etc.

But from pre season onwards, the pattern on the pitch has not been good, signs were there of a middling squad, no penetration etc. Then loss of confidence, a recipe for a relegation battle. Unfortunately this is now proving true .

I was of the view in the beginning that loads of new names meant diddly squat without quality. We always get carried away thinking new means better. Our recent past years transfer history proves otherwise. With the best will in the world from our owners, they don't have the real cash for a promotion

I think the sensible thing to have done once Sheehan had gone was to look for an experienced EFL head, get us solid and safe, and worry about next season in the Summer. Safety was what we needed, not experimenting with a Div 2 Portuguese guy.

And this is no criticism of him. But as JB says, those who did the appointing have likely got it wrong. But I hope I'm wrong though

He has been dealt the worst hand in almost every possible way. We have even put him in a position where any call to give him time does not really stand up to scrutiny because we only hired him based on 12 games. He will be 33% there in a weeks time. We will not find out if he is a good or a bad coach at Swansea. It all feels destined to fail and like we may be on to manager number three before the Christmas chocolate has been finished.

Steady guys - a time to get behind the team and have nerves of steel.
VM had ONE day on the training ground between Tuesday and Friday travel, and we saw a better starting XI and a much better , more positive approach. It only lasted 20-30 minutes - but he now has a complete week to work with the squad and an extra 90 minutes to analyse.
We have 2 home games and need a minimum 4 points from them. Time to regroup and come out breathing absolute fire and with an even better selection of team.
He must have seen what we see (I believe he is a smart guy with working eyes). But let me try and help him out.
Vipotnik must start
Eom Idah and especially Innoussa need to up their work rate off the ball and be ultra positive with it.
The midfield 3 of Stamenic Franco and Galbraith need to be persevered with - and Widell Ronald Yalcouye etc need to be introduced to ensure we maintain intensity for 90 minutes.
Key needs to be rested and worked with on the training ground. I have lost count of the number of times he is caught AWOL on transition, and gets pushed off the ball like an U12 academy player. Parker and Casey MUST be scratching their heads.
After a dream start today and a WBA side shot of confidence we played out 70 minutes of that game without any meaningful attacks, shots or even touches in the opposition area. Nowhere near good enough
